E-cigarettes would be treated as a separate product under a proposed amendment to the country’s Tobacco Act introduced in the Senate, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation reported.
The sale and promotion of vaping products to persons below age 18 would be prohibited, including promotion of e-liquid flavours that appeal to youth, the CBC said in a story citing Health Canada. A regulatory body would regulate health warnings on e-cigarettes and other vaping devices.
