Socialist Party legislators proposed amending the Health Act to ease the total ban on lighting up in public places by introducing designated smoking areas, according to novinite.com.
Smoking areas would be allowed in restaurants, night clubs, bars, cafes, airports and casinos, according to a draft amendment signed by nine Socialist legislators. Bulgaria introduced the full smoking ban in June, 2012. The amendment was tabled because commercial establishments have lost business, the news site reported.
