The State Tobacco Monopoly Administration (STMA) – the regulator for China's tobacco industry – has approved a plan from Longyan Cigarette Factory to conduct a large-scale technical transformation.

According to a Tobacco China Online report, Longyan cigarette factory, located in southeast China's Fujian Province, is to transform the production lines of its popular Jingpin (Superior) Seven Wolves cigarette brand. The factory will spend about 1 billion Yuan (USD 132 million) on increasing the production capacity of its brand.
The production site will have a capacity of 400,000 cases (20 billion cigarettes) per year and will cover an area of 86,820 square metres. It is expected to go into operation in the second half of 2009.
