South Korea's health ministry is pushing for a bill that will list all substances in cigarettes on its website, reports Korean TV station Arirang.
If the bill is approved, the ministry will disclose over six hundred substances, including toxins that are not well-known. Currently, tobacco companies were only required to list major toxins such as tar and nicotine on the pack.
Other measures include graphic health warnings on cigarette packs to show the risk of lung cancer, prohibiting companies from promoting advertisement that encourage people to smoke, as well as increasing cigarette prices by next year. (pi)
