Thomas Jones, a member of the Altria Board of Directors since 2002, will retire this year at the end of his current term, the company said.

Jones is the most senior director and serves on several Board panels, including the Executive and Finance committees, the latter of which he chaired. Jones told the company he would not stand for re-election at the 2017 annual shareholders meeting, Altria said. Group companies include Philip Morris USA and US Smokeless Tobacco.
