The European Commission has received 82,000 responses to its consultation about possible changes to the tobacco products directive, according to a European Voice story.
Commission consultations typically attract a few hundred responses.
The Commission's proposals for discussion included the extension of the current restrictions to herbal cigarettes, lifting the ban on snus and selling cigarettes in plain packets with graphic health warnings. (pi)
