The leaf fermentation plant located in the Abkhazian city of Gudauty, Georgia, has begun production of Ritsa cigarettes.
The brand has been named after the mountain lake famous both with locals and tourists. Locally-grown tobacco varieties and second-hand machinery of the 1950s are to be used for cigarette manufacturing for a start. The volume of the production has not been announced so far, however, the Gudauty plant is one of the most stable tax payers in the region, reports Regnum new agency. (vt)
