The Ukrainian cabinet of ministers is coming up with a draft bill on complete ban of tobacco and alcohol adverts on outdoor structures.

The ban is suggested to take effect from 1 January 2006. The government is going to insist on the bill’s urgent consideration in parliament, report Ukrainian news agencies. According to the law on advertising currently in force, tobacco ads are prohibited from radio and TV shows, printed media cover pages and public transport. (vt)
