Specialty packaging-film producer Treofan Group signed a marketing and technology partnership with Shiner International and Alliance Packaging Group of China

Shiner will gain access to advanced Treofan technologies for tobacco films and packaging for sales in the Chinese market, Treofan said in a statement on 24 October. Combined tobacco-film production capacity at Germany-based Treofan and Shiner will be about 45,000 tons per year.
Treofan will assume exclusive responsibility for marketing and sales of Shiner coated films and tobacco films in Europe and the Americas, excluding Canada. The sales force of Shiner and Alliance in Europe and the Americas will be absorbed into Treofan’s network.
Alliance will assume primary responsibility for sales and marketing for all packaging films from Treofan and Shiner in the Asia-Pacific market, Treofan said. (ci)
