Under-18s are set to be banned from buying cigarettes in Scotland.
A group of experts are due to recommend upping the legal age for buying tobacco from 16. The executive is expected to support the move, with ministers believing tobacco should have the same age restrictions as alcohol. Reportedly, almost one in four girls and one in eight boys aged 15 in Scotland regularly smoke. (pi)
