Universal Corporation will add a second processing line to double capacity at its factory in Tete, Mozambique, as part of an Africa capital investment programme, the company said.
The Mozambique project is largest in a programme expected to cost USD 40 million (EUR 29.6 million) to USD 45 million over the next two years, the leaf merchant said. Investments to improve efficiency and equipment are planned for Tanzania and Malawi. Universal operates in six African countries.
