Manhattan District Court Judge Katherine Forrest ordered UPS to pay damages and penalties for shipping hundreds of thousands of cartons to wholesalers and residences. The award was less than the USD 872 million sought by New York City and state, Reuters said. UPS said it would appeal the decision, the news agency reported.
