The World Trade Organisation (WTO) on 25 April will hear two requests for an arbitration panel to decide whether Australian plain-packaging requirements for tobacco products violate international trade rules, Agence-France Presse reported.
Cuba and the Dominican Republic asked the WTO disputes settlement body to hear their requests for a panel, AFP said. Altogether five WTO countries have challenged the 2012 plain-pack law.
