Nat Sherman of the US has recently launched a new luxury cigarette at the Tax Free Asia exhibition in Singapore
Called Black & Gold, the luxury brand is made with natural tobacco and sells at a price 2 to 2.5 times higher than regular full-flavor brands. The company is particularly optimistic about the success of the brand in Asia; in the US, Black & Gold is already available in better tobacconist shops and duty-free stores. Asked about the company’s focus Mr Joel J. Sherman, president of Nat Sherman, declared that “luxury cigarettes is the market we address world-wide; while we do not envision fast growth we are pleased to notice a steady increase in the number of people that are smoking less, but better”.
