Scandinavia Tobacco Group announced three appointments to its Board of Directors in connection with plans by its two owners to sell up to 40 per cent of the cigar and pipe-tobacco manufacturer via an initial public offering.
Swedish Match Chief Executive Officer Lars Dahlgren will leave the STG Board of Directors along with Anders Obel and Frederik Lagercrantz. Swedish Match currently holds 49 per cent of STG. The Obel Family Foundation and Augustinus Foundation own 51 per cent via Skandinavisk Holding.
Nominated as independent board members were Soeren Fjerre-Nielsen, an experienced executive and current board chairman at Danmarks Nationalbank, Dianne Neal Blixt, a former chief finance officer at Reynolds American, and Luc Missorten, who holds positions on various boards including board chairman at Ontex Group.
