Swedish Match has reopened its subsidiary in the Dominican Republic after temporarily shutting it down as a precaution against Covid-19, reports Reuters.

Cigar operations in the Swedish Match Dominicana subsidiary had been shut down at the end of March with Lars Dahlgren, President and CEO, saying, "Swedish Match is closely monitoring the current situation including governmental guidelines and advice from public health authorities in every country where we operate. We are proactively taking the steps that we believe are necessary to mitigate potential impacts to our employees, our customers and our business."
Manufacturing operations have now been resumed with one shift with additional shifts to follow depending on the national curfew being lifted or altered, according to Reuters.
The company said it does not expect any material impact on its ability to meet anticipated.
