The private consumption tax hike implemented by the government on tobacco has been reflected in cigarette prices.
ı Holding in Turkey, announced Monday it is raising the price of its tobacco products by at least 15 per cent effective immediately. British American Tobacco Turkey also increased the price of its products. As of Monday, a pack of Samsuns has a price tag of TRY 4.20 (EUR 1.98), while Kents costs TRY 7.00 (EUR 3.30). Japan Tobacco, the third leading company in the sector, is also expected to increase the price of its products. (pi)
