Cigarette manufacturers shipped 3.54 per cent more sticks in the Jan-April period than in the comparable period in 2017, TMA reported, citing China Tobacco Magazine.
Manufacturers shipped 872 billion sticks in the period, with overall sales up 3.54 per cent and 'Grade A' and 'Grade B' cigarette sales up 12.34 per cent and 20.22 per cent respectively.
Taxes and profits for the period totalled CNY 471 billion (EUR 60.712 billion), TMA said.
