Cigarettes prices will be registered at the finance ministry and the government will not fix their prices, reports Sofia News Agency.

This is written in the amendments in the law for tobacco and tobacco problems, approved by the council of ministers.
At present the producers are registering the prices at the finance ministry and then the cabinet fixes them at certain levels, deputy economy minister Korneliya Ninova explained. She also forecasted that the new amendments will retain the prices of the Bulgarian cigarettes, whereas prices of foreign cigarettes will go down by BGN 0.50. (pi)
