Smokers bear the whole responsibility for their health problems caused by tobacco consumption – this is what the majority of US citizens believes according to a study carried out by the Gallup agency
1019 Americans were questioned; 64 per cent of them stated that smokers are fully responsible for their health problems, 25 per cent claimed the tobacco industry is liable, and 10 per cent believe that both parties are equally responsible. 54 per cent of these interviewed have also stated that they do not agree with the litigation against the tobacco industry; 42 per cent said they supported it.
