John Daly, one of five British American Tobacco (BAT) appointees to the board of directors at Reynolds American, resigned as of 4 Feb, RAI said. BAT nominated Jerome Abelman, general counsel at the cigarette maker, to replace Daly.
Daly, whose three-year term was to have expired in 2018, is planning to retire, according to a statement by RAI. Abelman has 13 years experience with BAT and has served as general counsel and director of legal and external affairs since 2010.
