Hail & Cotton International Group (HCIG) named Michael de la Fargue, formerly of Japan Tobacco International, as president and chief executive officer to replace Warren Corbin, the company said.
Corbin held the top jobs at HCIG for eight years and will remain a member of the Board of Directors. De la Fargue previously was vice president of leaf services in Africa for Japan Tobacco International. Prior posts in a career spanning more than two decades include leadership positions at Tribac Leaf Ltd and Universal Leaf Tobacco, HCIG said.
Based in Tennessee, HCIG was formed in 2011 from Hail & Cotton and CdF International Group.
