Richard Turman, who held various budgetary positions at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), will become deputy director of the Centre for Tobacco Products in July, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced.
Turman has more than two decades of experience with the federal government, including serving as branch chief of the Health Division in the White House Office of Management and Budget. Currently Turman is principal deputy assistant secretary for financial resources at HHS.
He will join FDA on 23 June and begin at CTP on 2 July, the agency said in a statement. (ci)
