San Francisco became the first US city to ban use of smokeless products at all sports venues, a law that specifically singles out the tradition-rich use of chewing tobacco by baseball players, the Associated Press said.
A statewide ban on all tobacco products including e-cigarettes from venues where organized baseball is played is making its way through the California legislature, the wire service said. The San Francisco ordinance will take effect in 2016.
