The Public Health Agency has requested input on the benefits and cost impact of introducing plain packaging for tobacco products, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation reported.
Tobacco control activists hailed the public tender for a cost-benefit analysis as the first step in the government’s announced plan to mandate uniform packaging for cigarettes and related products, the CBC said.
