Images of diseased lungs, rotting teeth and throat cancer have been placed on cigarette packets as of 1 October in the UK.
The pictures will replace the current written health warnings that have been on packaging since 2003. The UK is the first country in the European Union to introduce pictorial warnings. (pi)
