British American Tobacco (BAT) will build its second manufacturing plant in the country, with ground being broken at the building site on Friday by BAT Korea Vice President Bae Yoon-suk, the Korean Times reported.
"We are pleased to announce a plan to expand our production facilities, which represent an important milestone in BAT Korea's history," Yoon-suk was quoted as saying during the ground-breaking ceremony in South Gyeongsang province.
BAT will invest USD 86 million (EUR 76 Million) in the plant, scheduled for completion in January 2017 and will create more than 100 new jobs, the newspaper said.
