Russia’s Health Ministry has commissioned a comprehensive study to look into the effects of e-cigarettes in the wake of the five deaths associated with vaping in the United States, The Moscow Times reported.
The Ministry has directed its chief pathologist to analyse how lung disease among the working age population could possibly be linked to e-cigarette consumption and issue recommendations, deputy Health Minister, Oleg Salagai wrote on his social media account, according to the report.
The American Medical Association on Monday advised Americans to discontinue vaping until scientists “have a better understanding of the cause of the deaths”, the report said.
