Scotland is set to implement a retail display ban for cigarettes next April following rejection by the Supreme Court of a challenge brought by Imperial Tobacco, BBC reported on its website.
A five-judge panel unanimously rejected Imperial’s challenge to the Tobacco and Primary Medical Services Act of 2010, which also bans vending machines. Similar legislation already is in force in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. (pi)
