Japan Tobacco Inc. (JT) is launching the Ploom X ADVANCED, its newest heated tobacco device in Japan with the online pre-sale starting on 31 October, according to a company press release.
The Ploom X ADVANCED device comes in silver or black and has “POWER HEATFLOW” technology which delivers a temperature of up to 320℃, consistently maintaining the ideal heat level. This ensures an unparalleled tobacco taste experience from the initial puff to the final draw, according to the press release. The device is quick and easy to use with a newly integrated automatic heating function initiating the heating process effortlessly upon stick insertion, allowing for a seamless and immediate start. The device’s battery sustains approximately 20 sticks before recharging, which can be accomplished using a USB-C connection. Additionally, the charging time now takes only 90 minutes, minimizing downtime, states the press release.
The Ploom X ADVANCED starter kit will retail for JPY 1,980 (USD 13.23) including tax and be available for pre-sale at the CLUB JT online shop from 31 October 31 and for sale in convenience and tobacco stores nationwide starting 21 November.

With the launch of “Ploom X ADVANCED”, the sales of the existing model “Ploom X” in Japan will be discontinued after 20 November, according to the press release.
