The popular e-cigarette company, Juul Labs Inc., has announced that it will be selling a new line of lower-nicotine strength pods starting the end of 2018, Bloomberg reported.
In a statement, the San Francisco-based company said that its mint and Virginia tobacco flavours would now also be sold in lower-nicotine concentration pods with a 3-per cent nicotine level, according to the report.
Currently, the company sells eight flavours, which have a 5-per cent nicotine concentration. The 5-per cent nicotine level is similar to a pack of traditional cigarettes, Bloomberg reported. The company said that the new lower-nicotine pods would be widely available October 2018.
Kevin Burns, the CEO of Juul Labs Inc., was quoted as saying, “We hope the availability of different nicotine strengths will continue to allow adult smokers the ability to explore what is best for them.”
