Logista, the distribution company owned by Imperial Brands, has renewed its Spanish distribution contracts with Japan Tobacco International (JTI) and British American Tobacco (BAT), the company said.
Both deals were announced in February and extend distribution of JTI and BAT products for five years to more than 13,000 tobacconists. The deal covers mainland Spain, the Balearic Islands and African exclaves Ceuta and Melilla.
Logista says it is the largest distributor of tobacco products in southern Europe. In Spain, JTI is the number three company in terms of market share with more than 22 per cent. BAT is number four at around 11 per cent. Imperial subsidiary Altadis is the market leader.
