Star Tobacco International named Christopher Maan commercial director for sales, Akin Akdogan director for tobacco monopolies/logistics, and Baldev Mistry as its African Region vice president.

Maan, as director of sales and marketing, will oversee global sales with the exception of government tobacco monopolies and Asia. Akdogan will head operations involving government tobacco monopolies and group logistics. Mistry will oversee commercial operations in Africa and spearhead the company’s vertical integration project into tobacco growing regions of Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia, Star said. All three will report directly to Star Chief Executive Officer Iqbal Lambat.
Star Tobacco is headquartered in Istanbul and specialises in supplying tobacco and services to medium-sized companies.
