Peter Kilburg has taken over as Managing Director at Japan Tobacco International Germany in Trier, according to a company press release.

Peter Kilburg (54), a mechanical engineer and business economist, has been with JTI since 2001 and will take over from Jon H. Moore who is moving to the company’s headquarters in Geneva to be part of the Global Manufacturing Performance Improvement Function.
As new Managing Director, Kilburg sees it as his task to strengthen the plant’s competitive standing within JTI’s global supply chain. “Our plant here in Germany fulfils many important roles in our global supply chain. The current investments into the expansion of our production capacity confirm the strategic value of our location and act as an incentive for me to work with the team to preserve and add to this value,” said Kilburg.
