President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has approved regulations requiring health warnings with pictures on cigarette packs and outlawing the use of tobacco product descriptions such as ‘light’ and ‘mild’, the Jakarta Post reported.
Tobacco companies will have 18 months to comply, the newspaper said on its website. Indonesia has one of the world’s highest smoking rates. (pi)
