The tobacco plant Reemtsma-Kyiv has increased cigarette output by 7 per cent in the first seven months of 2007.
The plant, which belongs to the Imperial Tobacco Group and which manufactures international cigarette brands such as R1 and West as well as a number of locally-designed brands, made 15.94 million cigarettes over the first seven months of 2007.
Meanwhile, the declining trend experienced by BAT-Ukraine's cigarette-making facility in Priluki continues. According to statistics published by RBC-Ukraine, the company made 9.93 million cigarettes over the first seven months in 2007, down 6.3 per cent from 2006.
