Chinese vaping start-up Relx Technology will open 10,000 global stores over the next three years as part of a big expansion, reports Reuters.
The company currently has over 1,400 stores worldwide with most of them located in China and run by third parties. The expansion is down to many Chinese e-cig brands turning to sales from actual stores after Chinese regulators called for a ban on online sales last year, according to Reuters.
Relx plans to have a number of company-owned stores, such as its flagship store, as well as franchised outlets. Relx co-founder Jiang Long said that the company also wanted to sell its products in more convenience stores, electronics shops and corner stores.
