The Republic Group, whose members provide make-your-own and roll-your-own tobacco and accessories, has announced the launch of a filter tubes company based in Canada.

Top Tubes Canada is scheduled to begin full production in April 2006 at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility located in Bois-des-Filion, near Montreal. 
“The facility under construction will definitely be the most modern and sophisticated tube factory in the industry,” said the new company’s president Stephane David.  “We will be using the latest machinery and technology to produce the best quality products,” he added.
The new facility will produce tubes for sales both in Canada and the US, including the Top and Gambler brands which will be sold in the US by affiliate Republic Tobacco.  The name of the Canadian sales arm will be announced shortly, whose brands will include OCB, Altesse and Rolling. (ci)
