Nearly 70 per cent of San Francisco residents have voted in favour of a proposition to ban the sale of flavoured tobacco products and some e-cigarette liquids, Time reported.
There had been an ongoing dispute about the proposal to ban flavoured tobacco products in the city for some time, according to the report. In 2017, city supervisors approved an ordinance to ban the sales of flavoured tobacco when residents gathered enough signatures to turn over the ordinance and decision to ban the products to San Francisco voters. The ban is to take effect in 2018.
