State health insurance no longer will pay for drugs used to treat lung cancer in smokers and former smokers under a controversial regulation that took effect in February, the Hürriyet Daily News said.
Opposition from the legal and medical communities likely will bring a court challenge, the newspaper said. The Social Security Institution (SGK) handed down the regulation that took effect 3 Feb.
