Tamil Nadu outlawed all forms of chewing tobacco, making it the 30th state to curb the use of gutkha and pan masala, The Hindu reported.
Manufacture, distribution, storage and sale of gutkha and pan masala are banned under the Tamil Nadu measure. Karnataka, a tobacco producing region, is the only state in southern India without a gutkha ban, according to The Hindu. (pi)
