An amended law on advertising signed by Kyrgyz president earlier this month bans all tobacco and alcohol ads from radio and TV shows in the daytime.
Tobacco commercials are allowed to be put on the air only from 10 pm to 7 am Editors breaking the law can face imprisonment for a three-year term. The law is to take effect immediately on its official publication, reports Rustabak.ru. (vt)
