Tobacco exports, nearly all of them cigarettes, increased 370 per cent in the past decade while imports remained stable, according to Customs Service data cited by the Korea Herald.
Korea’s largest export market for tobacco is the United Arab Emirates. Most imported tobacco comes from the Philippines, the newspaper reported on its website. Cigarettes account for 97 per cent of Korean tobacco exports. (pi)
