A Greek investor plans to begin construction of tobacco processing facility this spring in Kirkovo, a municipality in southern Bulgaria, Novinite.com reported.
The Greek company was not named in the report by the English language website of Sofia News Agency. The Kirkovo plant would be built by a company based in Xanthi, a city known for basma oriental tobacco in northern Greece. Novinite.com cited remarks by Kirkovo Mayor Sali Ramadan reported by Bulgarian Telegraph Agency as the source of its story.
