Turning Point Brands plans to buy four chewing tobacco brands from Wind River Tobacco to expand a portfolio that includes Stoker’s and Beech-Nut, the company said.
A twist tobacco brand is part of the USD 2.5 million (EUR 2.2 million) acquisition. Turning Point’s share of the US chewing tobacco segment would increase two percentage points to about 27.7 per cent, said the company based in Louisville, Kentucky. Turning Point is the number two maker of chewing tobacco, behind Swedish Match and it’s Red Man brand.
