Vapers in New Zealand now have the option of disposing of their e-cigarette waste by dropping it off at Vapo and Alt. stores or sending it in via post, reports Scoop

Global recycling experts TerraCycle partnered up with Vapo and Alt. Stores last year to offer the first programme dedicated to the recycling of e-cigarette waste. Vapers were encouraged to simply drop off old vaping devices and pods at one of the eleven stores nationwide.
Now, TerraCycle has come up with a new programme which will allow participants to send their e-cig waste in using the post. Anyone that is interested can simply sign up online, collect their waste in a cardboard box, print of a free shipping label and drop it off at their closest post office, reports Scoop.
According to TerraCycle's General Manager Jean Bailliard all the waste is collected and recycled.
“We will turn the waste into new products such as outdoor furniture, something we have done many times in the past. This moves waste from a linear system to a circular one, allowing it to keep cycling in our economy,” Bailliard said.
