Vector Group will cut 95 positions from its tobacco-sector workforce, a 17 per cent reduction, as it restructures Liggett Group and Liggett Vector Brands, the company said.

Liggett Vector Brands will realign its sales force and adjust its business model to better service its chain and independent accounts in the US, the company said in a filing with the Securities Exchange Commission. The workforce reduction should be completed by the end of this year. At an initial cost of USD 6 million (EUR 5.3 million), Vector said it expected to realize USD 10 million annual savings.
