The company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Alliance One Tobacco Malawi (AOI Malawi) has completed the sale of its Lilongwe North Factory facility to Africaleaf Processors Limited.

The sale includes one threshing line and other related assets. The gross proceeds to AOI Malawi are approximately USD 14.8 million, of which USD 9.5 million will be recorded as a gain on sale of assets.
At the same time, AOI Malawi separately made an additional investment to enhance the capacity of its Lilongwe South Factory. (pi)
