Gov Jerry Brown signed into a law a bill raising the minimum legal age to buy tobacco products to 21 from 18, the Sacramento Bee reported.
Raising the minimum age for purchase applies to e-cigarettes, dips, chews and combustible products. Brown signed a fistful of tobacco control bills, including one tightening restrictions on where vaping products can be used, but vetoed a bill that would have allowed local governments to impose local tobacco taxes, the newspaper said.
