Southwest China's Sichuan Province is planning to build a modern cigarette supply and distribution center in the provincial capital city of Chengdu.
The modern cigarette supply and distribution center – the first in the province – will cost an estimated 400 million yuan (US$ 50 million). Once constructed, the center will be able to generate 5 billion yuan (US$ 625 million) in annual sales income and an estimated 1 billion yuan (US$ 125 million) in taxes and profits.
The center will be capable of storing 3 billion cigarettes and is expected to be completed by the end of 2007. (pi)
